Katherine (Katie) Garcia is a postdoctoral researcher at the National Institute of Standards and Technology. She received her doctoral degree in Human Factors/Human-Computer Interaction from Rice University's Department of Psychological Sciences. She received her master's degree in Psychology from Old Dominion University and her bachelor's in Psychology and Cognitive Sciences from Rice University. Her research interests include cybersecurity, human-centered AI, explainable AI, and warnings.
