Élise Arsenault Knudsen

Biography
Dr. Arsenault Knudsen’s research questions are influenced by 20 years of clinical experience, where she saw the benefits and challenges of nurses applying evidence-based practices in day-to-day routines. Therefore, after earning a PhD in Nursing (2019) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, she has developed a program of research that focuses on using a systems approach to explore practice change by nurses within health care systems, accounting for the dynamic components of the work system, as well as multiple co-occurring practice changes, to identify ways to optimize the uptake of evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes. The goal of her research is to optimize practice change for nurses to improve outcomes for patients.
