Biography
I'm a Human Systems Engineering leader at Lockheed Martin, where I lead a distributed team of engineers and developers. My work sits at the intersection of human factors, cognitive systems engineering, and human-machine teaming — applying principles of perception, cognition, and training to the design of next-generation manned and unmanned platforms.
As Lead Systems Engineer for several programs, I shape strategy and execution across multiple lines of business, driving a unified human-centered design vision for autonomy and command-and-control capabilities. I lead the derivation and validation of HSI requirements — workload, situation awareness, and pilot/maintainer/operator usability — and guide interface design. Before Lockheed, I worked as a Scientist at Charles River Analytics, designing human-machine systems and running usability evaluations on advanced prototypes, and earlier interned at NASA Langley Research Center supporting cockpit systems research.
I hold a Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. in Psychology from Old Dominion University, where my graduate research focused on human factors in healthcare, usability of medical technologies, and team performance. What I care about most is translating messy, real-world operator needs into systems people can actually use — and building the multidisciplinary teams that make that possible.
