Dr. Mikaela Frechette is a Lead Researcher at the product design and development firm Re:Build Tekna. Her work spans the development and usability evaluation of medical and health technologies, including those that improve safety, participation, and quality of life for people with disabilities. To do this, she collaborates closely with design, engineering, regulatory, and business teams to ensure solutions are scientifically rigorous, user-centered, technologically feasible, and commercially viable.

She received her PhD and MS in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2022 and 2020, respectively, and a BS in Kinesiology (Exercise Science) from the University of New Hampshire in 2018.
