Joseph Artuso
Biography
Joseph Artuso is President and Chief Commercial Officer at OpenBCI, where he leads commercialization strategy, business development, marketing, sales, and product launch planning for OpenBCI’s neurotechnology platforms. He brings more than a decade of experience in technology commercialization, business operations, digital marketing, and data-driven growth across companies including OpenBCI, Salesforce, AppNexus, and WPP. He earned his BS in Political Science from Columbia University.

Since joining OpenBCI full-time in 2019, Joe has helped scale the company’s commercial operations, expand its global customer base, and bring advanced neurotechnology products to market. His work has included building B2B sales processes, developing financial forecasting tools, securing private investment and government R&D funding, and coordinating commercialization efforts for wearable brain-computer interface systems. Under his leadership, OpenBCI has grown annual revenue, returned to profitability, and expanded the reach of its tools to researchers, clinicians, developers, and commercial partners around the world.

Joe has also contributed to OpenBCI’s intellectual property and product strategy, including patented technologies related to the Galea multimodal biosensing headset. His background in market research and close engagement with neurotechnology users allow him to bring a user-centered perspective to product development, helping ensure that OpenBCI’s scientific and technical innovations translate into practical, accessible, and commercially viable tools for real-world research and applications.
