Sara Billie

Biography
Sara E. Billie, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the School of Human Ecology at Georgia Southern University. She holds a Ph.D. in Planning, Design, and the Built Environment from Clemson University and brings extensive professional experience in architecture and landscape architecture. Her research focuses on environment–behavior studies, child development and health, community engagement, participatory design, school and children’s environments, the restorative influence of nature on well-being, and evidence-based strategies for creating user-centered environments. With more than ten years of university teaching experience, she integrates behavioral research and design inquiry to advance developmentally responsive, health-supportive, and inclusive environments.
