Biography
I am a passionate and driven graduate student at Rice University, specializing in human factors and human-computer interaction. I graduated with honors from Purdue University, where I earned dual degrees in psychology and sociology. My honors thesis examined how perceptions of AI benevolence influence user trust and adoption, reflecting my broader commitment to advancing human-centered AI design.
My research focuses on improving safety, efficiency, and user experience in applied domains such as transportation, healthcare, and virtual reality. I have conducted experimental studies on topics including deceleration perception and the cognitive impact of conflicting signals from autonomous vehicles. I am also deeply interested in healthcare applications, particularly the design and evaluation of (wearable) medical devices to support patient safety and well-being.
Motivated by a deep interest in the intersection of technology and human behavior, I strive to design systems that are intuitive, evidence-based, and grounded in user needs.
